Ice Circles 1 Is Quilted

image

I really enjoyed machine quilting this quilt, the first of a set of 3.

It is made from two different pieces of fabric I ice dyed.

This is a close-up of the quilting. I LOVE machine quilting circles!

This is an intriguing piece. I am drawn in by the colors and your circular quilting in the middle. The fabric and how you have places it in the "simple checkerboard" has lots of motion going on that feels to me as if it radiates outwards from the center. The circular quilting further adds to that feeling of motion IMO. YOu have chosen a very simple uniform quilting design here. What interests me how the piecing in a "simple" square block and uniform quilting work together to bring out so much of the pattern and color in the fabric and create a piece that has so much energy and motion in it. I look forward to seeing what the other 2 pieces are like. I enjoy your work

I love the circles, too, and the ice dyeing is beyond "cool" (literally.) Magical texture!
