I took this picture so that the quilting would show well. Some areas do not show the quilting in the picture. It is not quite this pronounced in real life.
Rather than quilting to enhance the texture of the shibori, on this piece I quilted to enhance the shapes created by the piecing.
It still needs to be blocked, faced, casing added and signed.
I’ve been pleased with this each step of the way so far.
